North Louisiana Arts Interchange

I am honored to be a resident of the 2025 North Louisiana Arts Interchange! It is really exciting to have the opportunity to connect and work with others. Working in solitude as an art student has been insightful, but I am no longer being served by keeping myself as closed off as I have been lately. Trust me, my professors have let me know that I need to get out of my hermit era.

Art can so easily become lonely, but it does not have to be. Right now, I am beginning to recognize that. I have enjoyed every step I have taken so far, and am excited for each one that I will take through the entire duration of the program.

I have already met such cool people who inspire my creative process and are just great people to have gotten to know. Our conversations are insightful, full of laughs, and certainly never dull.

Each week, as I work on projects alongside the other members, I find myself exploring in new ways, and for once, having fun while I’m doing so! I think that it is so special to be in a program built on a foundation of community.

I cannot wait to keep laughing, making, and having great conversations!
